Dimensional Stabilization of Wood by Chemical Modification Using Isopropenyl Acetate
Chemical modification of wood with isopropenyl acetate (IPA) using iodine (I2) as catalyst has been carried out. Rubber wood (Hevea brasiliensis) specimens were reacted with IPA using iodine (I2) catalyst at 95°C up to 10 h under solvent free conditions. The effect of catalyst concentration and reaction time was studied. The extent of acetylation was measured by determining weight percent gain ...
متن کامل2-Isopropyl-4-methoxy-5-methylphenyl acetate
In the title compound, C13H18O3, the benzene ring is almost perpendicular to the acet-oxy plane, making a dihedral angle of 89.33 (11)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a zigzag chain along the c-axis direction.

In the title compound, C(17)H(17)Cl(2)NO(2), the NH group exhibits an intra-molecular hydrogen bond to the carbonyl O atom and no inter-molecular hydrogen bonding, in contrast with previous studies. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 58.57 (5)°. The ester group is planar, the greatest deviation from planarity being 0.0135 (11) Å for the ether O atom.
متن کاملstudy the effects of low level laser diode on no production and healing of diabetic and cortisone acetate and normal wounded sd rats
nitric oxide (no) is a small molecule synthesized by most of mammalian cells with diverse biological activities including vasodilatation, host defense and wound healing. impaired wound healing is a common occurrence among diabetics and patients receiving glucocorticoid therapy. on the other hand the application of laser in biomedical area have been increased. thus, the current studies were desi...
15 صفحه اولAcetyl phosphate synthesis by reaction of isopropenyl acetate and phosphoric acid.
200 ml. of isopropenyl acetate (Tennessee Eastman Corporation) are cooled in an ice bath and then, with stirring, 25 ml. of 85 per cent syrupy phosphoric acid (35 gm. of H3P04) are added dropwise, and finally 1.0 ml. of concentrated sulfuric acid is added as catalyst. The reaction mixture is placed in a water bath at 25” and stirred constantly to prevent localized heating. After 35 minutes at t...
